So true! Another use is micro-macramé. Don't buy the expensive waxed linen cord - draw your floss thru a block of bee's wax (can buy for about $5). The bee's wax keeps the thread protected and doesn't tangle.

I might be auctioning off some monofilament thread but that depends on my Mom. She bought a felting machine last year and hasn't used it yet. I might have to break down and try it out for her.

Trying to talk my step-dad into get an Alpaca so I can make my own yarn, but I need an old spinning wheel. I did however find a design to make your own spinning wheel - that's another thing on my bucket list.

The block of bee's wax lasts a long time. Just keep in a plastic bag. Whenever I do beadwork on crocheted items, I usually use embroidery thread treated with bee's wax. I hate the nylon bead thread! You do have to occasionally have to clean your sewing needle - I use sharps they are small but don't break as easy as "beading needles".

Sorry, I have to say no at this time. The money I have put away for shipping my current auctions it tight.

In the future, I will check out how much it costs to ship to Canada.

Thank you for checking out my auction.

Lori, about 7 years ago I had this idea to buy a spinning wheel and get real sheeps wool to spin and make my own yarn. Well it turned out I just couldn't find the time to wash the sheep's wool, spin it, and dye it. :-( BUT it was a great thought! LOL I ended up taking a big loss on the new wheel I had bought and gave away all of the wool I got from local farmers!! :-( I get some totally COOL ideas sometimes BUT never have enough time to do what I want to do! :-( Anyway Good Luck!!

I would love to have a spinning wheel - if not for use - but would make a great gift for my Mom.

Thank you everyone for bidding, watching, commenting, looking at, fanning me on my embroidery thread auction.

One last tip from a thrifty crafter - do not over look those balls of size 3, 5 & 8 threads. I have been hand dyeing my own thread and these are good to practice on & can find fairly cheap at thrift sales. To use - put on a towel rack so you can crochet or knit with more than one thread - the towel rack keeps the threads from tangling.
