The listing, Unusual Ground Cherry Seeds (100+) has ended.
Each ground cherry contains many seeds, you get fifteen of the fruits so at least a hundred tiny seeds! You'll only need a few of the seeds to get started but you may want to give some away to friends...*****
Some of the photos are mine, some taken off the internet.
THE FOLLOWING IS INFO FROM THE INTERNET: "How to grow ground cherries: They are easy, easy, easy. Plant a small plant in a sunny spot. Give it plenty of room. In Wisconsin, fruits start to ripen in late July, and continue until frost. I suspect ground cherries will be like dill. You only need to plant it once. Next year volunteers will sprout all over the garden. Right now that sounds appealing to me. I will let you know if I change my mind next year. ***HOW TO HARVEST: Ripe ground cherries fall off the plant and land on the ground. Hence the name. The papery husk keeps it clean. Simply pick up the yellow ripe fruit.
First we made a simple, right from the garden salsa. Then we added them to mixed fruit salad. Now we eat them from a bowl. We hope to harvest enough for jam or chutney soon."***
You will receive over 15 ground cherries. Just mash, dry, and get seeds out. (some of them you'll receive may already be mashed and mostly dried. Dry the seeds thoroughly, store in cool dry place until spring. Plant in early spring when danger of frost is past or plant inside in pots and move outside later. Mine had ripe fruit by July even with our drought, we're in zone 6/7.they grow well in the north too!****
