bidding:) it's hard for me to imagine how material will stand on the ground. Can it stand in its own? When my puppy is drinking out of it, won't it fall? is there something on the bottom (wire?) to keep it stable? thanks in advance for your replies, I appreciate it.

Yes it can definitely stand on its own. You can stretch it out to create the shape of the bowl, then fill with water. I just tested it again. It is made out of a backpack type material, but has something in between the folds of the material to make it sturdy. The bottom expands like one of those pendaflex green hanging folders that you can stretch out and it keeps its shape. Hope this helps!
