The listing, Antique Victorian Butterfly Display Box Case Vintage Very Old and GORGEOUS has ended.

I am pleased to present to you this stunning antique Victorian butterfly box/display case. The three beautiful butterflies are on a padded white background displayed with some dried flowers, grasses and seeds. They are housed under glass. The inside of the case is fully lined in rich blue velvet and trimmed with ornate blue ribbon. The portion with the butterflies is held in place with four nails; it stays in place, but you might want to add a couple of little nails to hold it better. The outside of the wood case is covered in an embossed dark brown material, possibly leather, and there is simple latch on the front. The bottom is covered in brown felt, so it will be safe to sit on your furniture. Other than some light scuffs, this beautiful box is in very good condition considering its age. It would make a lovely home for your jewelry or on display in your living room.

Measurements: 11 X 6.25 X 1.75 inches.

Beautiful! I have a frame full of butterflies from an estate auction 30 years ago. It has the same blue iridescent butterfly as a focal point.

Thanks! The blue butterfly is definitely an eye catcher. I love how the seeds and flowers were incorporated--I've seen some butterfly boxes that were really elaborate.
