The listing, Skipping Christmas Book By John Grisham has ended.

Imagine a year without Christmas. No crowded malls, no corny office parties, no fruitcakes, no unwanted presents. That’s just what Luther and Nora Krank have in mind when they decide that, just this once, they’ll skip the holiday altogether. Theirs will be the only house on Hemlock Street without a rooftop Frosty, they won’t be hosting their annual Christmas Eve bash, they aren’t even going to have a tree. They won’t need one, because come December 25 they’re setting sail on a Caribbean cruise. But as this weary couple is about to discover, skipping Christmas brings enormous consequences—and isn’t half as easy as they’d imagined.

A classic tale for modern times, Skipping Christmas offers a hilarious look at the chaos and frenzy that have become part of our holiday tradition.

It's in Hardcover copy in very good condition with no writings in them. There's no GIN option as I want this to be a fun and fair auction for everyone. As always, free shipping within the USA.

This is one of the most hilarious books I've ever read and that stays put, in my library,
and is read about 2 weeks before Christmas each and every year. It is a must read for all of those who are still running out after those couple of things on Christmas Eve!

I kind of wished I read it now. lol I have too many books in my library that needs downsizing. Weird too, because I've decided that this is the year, I wasn't going to celebrate Christmas. It's not worth the hassle and aggravation. No let's just see if I can stick to it! lol

Oh, I know about having too many books! I used to read 4 books a month when I was younger. You would think, with me being out of work, on SSD, I'd be able to double that number! All I know is that you have to be in a good place to enjoy reading...and apparently, I'm not there yet! lol As for celebrating Christmas I agree with you 100%. Christmas is all about the little ones, and their sparkling eyes and the magical surprise, don't you agree?

I do agree, Christmas is for the kids, but sometimes, even the kids can be very ungrateful too. As for reading, I put aside 1 hour a day regardless and read. I can go through about 2 books a week. :)

You are so right about kids being ungrateful.....I think the best ages for Christmas is between ages 3-5. You know, I think I'm going to put aside time to read and that way I can donate these books once I read them. Thanks for that idea!! So very simple, yet I couldn't figure it out myself...LOL
