I have a fat old school ps3 that is fully backwards compatible, it was the model that came with card readers.it has the CF, SD/,iniSD and the pro slot along with four usb slots for controllers. It has a 80 gig hard drive.

The ps3 HAS THE YELLOW LIGHT of death. But is well worth it to have it professorially fixed. Since they are very rare to come by. The winner is fully responsible for shipping and handling.

I am relisting this item due to a the mail man not picking up my packages from my house when I filled out a pickup request through usps website. So I had to bring the package with me the next dayto school and mail it out from there, but the winner wanted their credits back. NO FREE SHIPPING on this listing, I have to wait two-three weeks to get my money back from the shipping label that I had to cancel through usps.

As stated I wait until the auction is over to figure out shipping rates. If you would like to get a ball park of how much shipping may be, you can look up how much a ps3 weights and then go to usps.com and pick whatever option you would like to use to get a quote. Also a $80 shipping rate is called price gauging, and would be outrageous.

There are different models that were fully backwards compatible, your information is not fully correct. This model played ps1,ps2 and ps3 games and at one point in time you were able to install a different OS on it, before the update came on. This was the top of the line first model that came out that had ALL of the features available.

Your link reconfirms what I just stated. Slims and the new 160 are not backwards compatible. But the original release fat first model versions were. Changing out the chips for cheaper chips was one move that mad me and allot of other customers upset with Sony. I wish that they would have left things like they were so that all systems would play ps2 games.

The next person to say that this ps3 does not play ps2 games I am going to block end of story. I kept the first fat system because it COULD play ps2 games. I have a whole book shelf of ps2 games that I used to play in THIS system. Also this play ALL ps3 games that were released in the USA.
