Description

The listing, Walt Disney's BEDKNOBS and BROOMSTICKS has ended.

When a mail-order apprentice witch (Angela Lansbury) is saddled with three sibling refugees from London during World War II, the outlook is grim. But the kids soon discover her secret and sign on for adventure in the name of England. With the aid of a magical bed, they track down her fraudulent headmaster (David Tomlinson) to find the spell that will aid the Allies. Fascinated that she has actually achieved results with his lessons, he joins forces. The quintet does battle with corrupt booksellers, animated-lion royalty, and, eventually, invading Germans. Songs include Lansbury's Oscar-nominated "The Age of Not Believing." This film is often compared to director Robert Stevenson's earlier effort, Mary Poppins, and for good reason. In addition to Tomlinson, the movies share a fondness for magic at the hands of a good woman, light romance with an understanding male, and wide-eyed children. Stevenson also graces both films with interaction between humans and animated animals.

DVD is used, but in great condition.

I used to live in Bella vista Arkansas and worked at the bentonville walmart and Jane mo. walmart now I'm in San Antonio Texas and still work for walmart.

I used to drive to Jane, Mo. all the time to buy Lottery tickets--they weren't WINNING tickets, but I tried. When you moved to Texas, did you take any of the armadillos back with you? If you did, you didn't take enough. Congrats on being at the head of the pack in the bids. Thanks. :)

I actually haven't seen alot of armadillos around here but I have seen alot of deer and found a scorpion in my Landry room! thanks for the awesome acutions!

Well, part of the thanks would go to my 2 1/2 year-old son, whatever movie he doesn't like gets put here on Listia. The other thanks (for the Beauty and the Beast Blu-Ray) is because I'm just about done replacing all my VHS titles with DVDs and I am not going to go through the whole switch-over thing again just to go to Blu-Ray.
Until earlier this year, I still had over 200 cassettes (but no machine to play them on)
I drag my feet, technology-wise because it's expensive up-grading.
I still don't get how scorpions are classified as "BUGS" they're too scary to be a bug!
