It was in 2005 when I was last up in Canada. I went to Montreal. I just found this money while going through some stuff. I had no idea it is no longer in circulation.

They stopped making the two dollar bill February 18 1996

The date on both these bills is 1986. Neither of these are in good shape. They have been well circulated. One of the 25 cent coins is 1982, but the other .25 coin is shinier and has the date of 1977 on it. The dime sized coin has 1971 on it. So, I'm thinking this money came from my husband's stint in the Navy back in the 1980s.
