Why on earth is shipping so high when it would only cost 44 cents to ship?

because the postoffice charges more than 44 cents and the world does not see it that way on this earth and I mail in a package envelope that is padded and not a plain LETTER envelope where jewelry gets broken and If they send me an e-mail address I also maIl with confirmation number when I can. AND ALSO i BLOCK THOSE THAT COMPLAIN AND I DO NOT LET THEM BID ON MY ITEMS. thanks..
