This is a nice Goose key holder it has a hole in the back, that you can mount it to the wall as you walk in the door Then The beak is on a heavy spring loaded spring and when you push the tail the beak will come up and hold your Keys, very nice and very nice decorative piece.

It looks and feels like cast brass but I've never took any Brasso to it. I hope that helps

Well, I have a few brass items and they have some weight to them. And they are about the same color as this.
