Never needs watering!

We grew ours from seeds from my friends plants in southern Arizona and they grow fine here in central Texas.

They bloom all summer, and even if they freeze and die down to the ground, they come back even prettier in the spring.

What is the coldest it gets where you live?

We get a few inches of snow or an ice storm every couple of years. It sometimes gets down to the low teens. Unless we have an unusually WARM winter, the plants freeze down to the ground. If the temp stays below freezing for more than 24 hours, we pile leaves over the base of the bush to keep the roots warm, (I don't know if it helps, but it seems like a good idea). In the early spring we cut the plant down to the ground and the bush comes back shorter but very full and healthy. When this happens, we seem to get more flowers.
