The listing, Hard Plastic Souvenir Native American Doll has ended.
I won this from Lista. Gave the doll to my little cousin. She is not interested in it, so I decided to put it back on Lista.
(This is the description of the doll when I bidded on it. Thanks)
This auction is for a hard plastic souvenir Native American doll. I'm not sure if this is vintage or not, but I don't think, with all the small pieces, that it's really meant to be played with, even though it's made cheaply. The last picture shows a gold sticker indicating that she was made in China. I read an article once that claimed that the parts for these dolls came from other countries, but that the Native Americans would put it all together on the reservations and sell them in their gift shops. I don't know if that's entirely accurate, especially with that sticker on the underneath of her foot (why would they put that sticker there if they're the ones putting her together).
I don't know if you can still pick these up in the gifts shops like we used to when I was little. I haven't been able to find one on the internet exactly like this one either and there are a few here and there.
She stands just over 7" high and has vinyl clothing, seed bead decor, twins on her back (that was the part I found unusual about her, since, from my memory, you usually saw these dolls with only one baby or none) and she has "sleepy" eyes that open and shut.
She comes in a plastic bag. I took her out of it just for these pics. That's the only time that she's been out of it that I'm aware of. I put her back in the bag after I took these pics.
