This is one of a collection of Franklin Mint porcelain Children of the U.N. (United Nations) I will be listing.

He is Vasco from Portugal and he is wonderful – there are so many things to look at and to wonder about . . . he’s so alive-looking! He’s clearly looking at something or someone and I wonder who or what it is and why. He seems about to shield his eyes from the sun. Meanwhile, his kitten has its head through the life preserver. The boat he is in has "UN" on it on each side near the stern. He is from 1980 (more than a quarter of a century old!!!) and is in superb condition.

Vasco, his kitten, and the boat is approximately 4 1/4" tall and the base is approximately 4 3/4" long and 3 1/4" wide.
