The listing, Two Amazing Cats by Laurel Burch Ceramic Love Cats Retired has ended.

For all you Laurel Burch Collectors these colorful cats will make a great addition to your cat collection.

Size 6" x 6.5"

Laurel was a self-taught painter. She saw herself as a folk artist, telling stories. “In our fast-paced, changing world,” she said, “we need symbols that are a reminder of the ongoing world of the spirit.” On some level, her work was always about bringing different cultures together, and about our connection with the earth and all living things, ideas that have only increased in relevance today.

On September 13, 2007, Laurel passed away due to complications from the bone disease, osteopetrosis. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will continue to brighten our world. I had purchased this beautiful piece while she was still alive. It is a hard to find piece and very collectible.

This piece is retired. Was created for Ganz.
You have to love all the purple and red swirls and hearts.

Comes from a smoke free, cookie filled home!

Shipping is Flat Rate $ 5.00 which is about 1/2 of what real shipping is going to be! (So I'm splitting the shipping with you!)

It was heart breaking to here that she had passed. I had the honor of meeting her at her Sausalito shop years ago. She was a great artist and inspired me as an artist. I have seen her printed fabrics and they are wonderful. Fanned you back. :)
