Here is a rare World War II chemical protective cover designed to be carried in a field pack. It is unused and when needed there is a “ripcord” that is pulled to release the cover. One side is marked “Cover, Protective, Individual Contract No. NXSS-54058 1944”. The other side is marked “ Note: This cover is to protect YOU against sprayed vesicants (this means Mustard gas!) When ready to open pull here”. Measures about 7 ½” X 4 ¼” X 1 ½” thick. Please see the pictures. This is a very rare military item that would be a fantastic addition to any collection.
