This piece from 1997 CAM03 is the famous Morris Tuttle Mansion in Watsonville CA., The Queen Anne Victorian was commissioned by Morris Tuttle and Iowan farmer, designed by William Henry and cost $20,000 or about $1000 per room due to expensive Hungarian Ash and Arizona Sandstone used in construction By the end of the 19th century Queen Anne Victorians began to exhibit the influence of the neo-classicism. The Tuttle mansion shows this in the short stocky tower and Roman Columns that line the wraparound porch. Look at all the pictures to see the 3D effect of wood layering. Incredibly precise hand painting and details present. Total thickness is 1 inch, each layer is 1/2 inch. Overall size is 6 x 7-1/2 inches.
