Hey all, I'm not sure exactly how old this GPS is. No more than two years old I'm sure (it was my ex's and I just sort of ended up keeping it) but he bought it new sometime last year.

I believe it does have lifetime upgrades. Every time I turn it on it bugs me about updating them. I think you may have to do this online. Thanks for the interest!

Ah yes you are right sorry! The model number for the GPS is- 335376929 and the name is -nuvi 40LM

I'm unfamilliar with gps units but very interested, I see the wire has a cigarette lighter adapter and there are 2 seperate model No's. is the gps and charger seperate? and will the gps run on batteries?

Hello and thanks for your interest! I'm not sure why there are two separate model numbers, but the GPS and the charger are connected. The GPS runs by being plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car. I don't think it takes batteries.
