This auction is for a Mexican idol, hand carved out of hard wood. I purchased this at the Chichen Itza ruins site just about 30 years ago, watched as it was being carved. Back then I didn't speak much Spanish, but I believe this is a fertility idol. In the ensuing years I applied several coats of lacquer to help preserve the wood. It stands about 12" tall and 5" wide at its widest point. Weighs about a pound.Free shipping!
