Description

The listing, B&O Locomotives Trains MNH Plate# s has ended.

Winner receives all FIVE of these wonderful TRAIN themed stamps! All are MNH mint never hinged, unused, un-canceled shiny backside OG and ALL have plate numbers in different colors!

Notice that the flag in the second photo is flying one direction while locomotives smoke stack is blowing in the opposite direction! People noticed this and the Post Office people said that they had to put the flag blowing that way so it would fit. Hmmmm.... GREAT scene:

Completion of the first transcontinental railroad

3rd photo of three different types of railroad transportation:
The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Chartered Feb. 28, 1827
125 years of rail transportation. Three different rails as follows: “Pioneer Car,” the first method of passenger travel;

The “Tom Thumb,” the first steam locomotive put in service by the railroad;

And a streamlined diesel train.

Honoring Railroad Engineers of America
another fantastic scene, old loco & newer streamline

Poor Casey Jones:
Volunteered to replace an engineer collided with the rear cars of another train but slowed down enough to help prevent deaths of passengers. He was the only fatality.

Jimmy Rodgers, The Singing Brakeman!
Rural America great loooong old time black choo choo!

Photos taken using flash. Individual stamp pictures are nice
and bright so you can see the details, however they
are not that bright without flash.

All my Auction ends each Saturday between 7:00 - 7:30 PM Seattle Time.
Will mail the following Monday.

Winner receives everything shown in 1st photo.
Others photos are close up, back side, different angles

wow! great auctions! all the info on the stamps is a pure bonus! so many people om Listia are too lazy to give a proper description of an item, it's such a joy to deal with a profesional! I'll be bidding & winning a lot of your auctions!

Hi and thanks so much for the very nice compliment, comments and for stopping by! I'll start some more MNH auctions tonight after 6PM Seattle time. I am a THEME collector so that's usually what you will see. Listia gives sellers 2,000 characters and a lot of times I have to cut down my description LOL. Thanks again!

I know what you mean, I do the same thing for my music collectors with all the track info and such. I know I dislike having to look up all the stuff on something I may like! Often it hurts the seller as the less info the lower the bids go. I'll be checking out your other stamps too, and nice catch on the flag/smoke thing! I never noticed that! Peace!

I've never thought of arranging my stamps by theme instead of standard Scott catalog #'s but thats an interesting idea!

Hi! I arrange my stamps not only by theme, but by Scott numbers, denomination, and if (as an example) there is an oxen pulling a covered wagon... one of the duplicates will go in my animal themed album, and another duplicate will go under my transportation/covered wagons them album, so I have four of the same stamps in four different albums. I have some very interesting THEME auctions coming soon! Thanks so much for your comments and stopping by and bidding : )
