The final picture shows an example of this week's comment drawing. I take care of my fans. Each week we will have a comment drawing. This week's prize is a Mia Bella Car Air Freshener. Scent: My Choice.

All you need to do to enter my drawing is to fan me (if you're already a fan, no problem) and comment on any of my listings telling me what is a "must do" family-friendly activity in your hometown. This could be the town you currently live in, or if you are uncomfortable with mentioning what town you're in, tell me a place to go in the town you grew up in.

These drawings are fun, you don't need any credits to win, and they will give us ideas of must-do activities as our family of 4 continues to travel in our RV throughout this great country.

Check the top comment for details on our trip, as well as last week's prize winner.

I just fanned you. One family friendly thing we like to do is to go see the Spooklight. We are in the Northeast Oklahoma/Southwest Missouri border. Close to the Joplin Missouri area.
I don't know if this link will work or not but I'm going to try it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spooklight

If it doesn't work all you have to do is go to google or wikipedia and type in the Hornet spooklight or just the spooklight.

In Winterset, Iowa we have the famous covered bridges from the movie. Last weekend was the covered bridge festival and people from all over the world come here to see the bridges. Great for history buffs.

Love covered bridges! Just went on a tour in Ohio. Saw the biggest and smallest covered bridges in America. Kinda disappointing though, as they were both recently built! :( Did see lots of beautiful historical ones though too.

LOL, list some Amazon or Walmart gift cards, just for a short auction, 3 days or so. Those generate quick funds, and people bid crazy amounts, even for $5-10 gift certificates.

I am from Scarborough Maine :) There are so many wonderful things to do here year round! Coming up on the start of one of my favorite things to do with 2 of my dearest friends. Many of our local churches host annual Holiday fairs that are incredible! They often include silent auctions, where you can buy 6 tickets for $5. I did this last year at every Holiday fair we went to and luckily won 9 terrific items that I gave as Christma gifts, including an brand new iPhone, a brand new Ipod Nano, and a completely decorated artificial Christmas tree with $300 in various gift cards hanging on it - amazing! The local merchants and individuals in our area are very generous with donated items and gift cards for these silent auctions ;) I also find so many terrific Christams gifts for friends and family on the tables too! This year I'll be doing the same and also keeping my eye out for items that would be great to list here. Can't wait for the fairs to start in a few weeks! They are so much better than going to the mall or big box stores because the people are so nice and everyone is in a festive mood :) So, if you ever get the chance to visit Maine, I recommend this time of year for the fairs! We also have the Freeport Sparkle Festival where LL Bean is located along with many outlet stores. The festival is wonderful including a parade and all sorts of activites for the whole family. If you come in the summer our ocean beaches are awesome. We also have the famous Fort Williams State Park free admission, home of the Portland Headlight lighthouse. So glad we moved here 16 years ago from Connecticut! As the sign on I-95 says when you're entering Maine, "Welcome to Maine - The Way Life Should Be". I so agree!

Love church auctions! We won tickets to ride on the Goodyear Blimp in FL one year. Well, we tried to book but a hurricane canceled. So tried to book again and a tropical storm canceled. So then we moved from FL and now, 3 yrs later, its time to try again! Maine is at the top of our list!!

A family trdation for about 40 years is that our Christmas tree is actually placed up on a platform which is made out of 4'x8' boards and there are legs on these boards to support it. It takes about 3-4 weeks to complete before the whole thing is done because we start out covering the boards with that Christmas felt, laying down all the 5000 lights and taping them to the felt, placing all porcelein houses(big and small number about 100) and inserting certain lights into them from behind, then what takes alot of time is pulling real cotton from like a bale of cotton to cover up all the wires and anything such as extention cords, wires from street lights etc. After that we place the scenery of people, Ice skating rinks, music boxes, Merry Go Round, thousands of people and figures of all kinds but the most important factor that my children and grandchildren can always depend upon is that the very first "ornament" I purchased 40 years ago(which happens to be Santas house with a reideer out front and a small Santa on a string that you pull and Santa walks up the chimney, is ALWAYS placed at the front left of the platforms farthest edge. Then we put up the mountains and the trees that are from 1 foot to 4 feet hign around and with a few final touches, we have our final project of love done another year. Most important, one new ornament, house, music box or something is purchased each year for the platform and if you are wondering whre the presents go, they arent brought out until Christmas Eve! Thats are family tradition and hope you like it as much as we do! Laraine in NC.

**I SHIP ON TUESDAYS**

Thanks for viewing this listing and (perhaps) entering the comment drawing! I love Listia, and we're having a great time cleaning out the RV by listing great items on here and turning them into gift certificates for yummy food on our adventures.

Who are we? We're a family of 4 (mom, dad, 12 yr old boy, 10 yr old girl...and don't forget Old Cat and Young Cat) on the adventure of a life-time: experiencing America in our RV. We never know where we're going to be, or why, but we're going to have fun (and troubles) along the way. Fan us and check our listings weekly for updates on our journey.

This week we were in Lebanon, TN for an RV get-together called a "Samboree". We were the youngest people there, as typically, rvers tend to be retirees. Well, that certainly didn't stop us! It was Fab 50's theme, and 10 yr old Sara was invited to join in part of the entertainment. They had a skit planned where they would give hula hoops to a bunch of older folks to try to do on stage. Well, Sara was called up to "show them how its done" after they struggled hysterically! Sara is excellent at hooping. We did a video and will put it on youtube tonight. (rvtravelwithkids).

Last week's winner: MoxieCat!
