Yes I do believe it would fit a large wrist, if by chance it would not it, sure would make a nice gift. I believe your right about the band it does look to be like a leather like snake skin. The watch is very beautiful and it is even more so than in the picture. It is in working condition. Thanks for looking and watching :)
