**COMMENT DRAWING**
The final picture shows an example of this week's comment drawing. I take care of my fans. Each week we will have a comment drawing. This week's prize is a Mia Bella Car Air Freshener. Scent: My Choice.

All you need to do to enter my drawing is to fan me (if you're already a fan, no problem) and comment on any of my listings telling me what is a "must do" family-friendly activity in your hometown. This could be the town you currently live in, or if you are uncomfortable with mentioning what town you're in, tell me a place to go in the town you grew up in.

These drawings are fun, you don't need any credits to win, and they will give us ideas of must-do activities as our family of 4 continues to travel in our RV throughout this great country.

Check the top comment for details on our trip, as well as last week's prize winner.

Also 45miles north of me in Ellijay, Ga is the annual "apple Festival" going on right now & next weekend too! They have tons of kiddie activities, several arts & crafts, many booths showing log & rustic home decor & lots & lots OF apples & goodies made with apples! Blue Ridge & Ellijay are known for their many apple houses & orchirds. Ellijay also has "Burts Pumpkin Farm" there you can take a ride on an old john deer tractor through a huge pumpkin patch & let your kiddies pick their own pumpkin! He has pumpkin ranging from 1lb to 150lbs. Its a great "seasonal" family activity, not to mention the store filled full of pumpkin pies & goodies! So in my town you have a variety of family activities in a big city or in a small town!!

Fanned & watching! I live in a suburban town 60miles North of Atlanta, Ga. There is certainly alot of "must see" & "must do" FAMILY activities to experience.... Atlanta, Ga offers many fun things for families such as Six Falgs over Ga, tons of fun for those who love rollercoasters & for summer fun we have white water a huge water park with tons of super fast fun waterslides, & the Atlanta Zoo(which is perfect for little ones who love wild life), also is our "new" Atlanta Aquarium, its absolutely amazing! There you can see all the Ocean's marine life it has tunnels with sharks on all sides of you also whales, manatees, eels, beautiful fish of every kind, several different exhibits that teach you about different habitats, you can also feed the mantarays, & sting rays. Its really a must see place. My home town of Cartersville, Ga offers alot too. We have the famous Etowah Indian Mounds that you can actually see how the "Etowah" Indians lived, they have Huge Mounds that you can climb to thetop aswell as a museum that showcases their very own utensils, cookingware, their handmade weapons, lots of arrowheads, its amazing to see how the Indians used to live off the land & how they made everything From the earth! We also have the brand "new" Tellus Museum; it is a state of the art facility that shows kids & adults all about the earth & its materials, what they are made up of, different types of rocks & minerals, they have a space simulator, windmill to show kids about electricity, a plantetarium, greenhouses, a whole weather exhibit showing how metrologist predict the weather & all the tools used to forecast it. This place is an absolute "Must See"!! We also have the Western Booth Museum here. It showcases the history & art from the western times. They have history proffessors that guide you through teaching you about every item & its history & meaning! There are many more places & activities around my hometown to go see!

**I SHIP ON TUESDAYS**

Thanks for viewing this listing and (perhaps) entering the comment drawing! I love Listia, and we're having a great time cleaning out the RV by listing great items on here and turning them into gift certificates for yummy food on our adventures.

Who are we? We're a family of 4 (mom, dad, 12 yr old boy, 10 yr old girl...and don't forget Old Cat and Young Cat) on the adventure of a life-time: experiencing America in our RV. We never know where we're going to be, or why, but we're going to have fun (and troubles) along the way. Fan us and check our listings weekly for updates on our journey.

This week we were in Lebanon, TN for an RV get-together called a "Samboree". We were the youngest people there, as typically, rvers tend to be retirees. Well, that certainly didn't stop us! It was Fab 50's theme, and 10 yr old Sara was invited to join in part of the entertainment. They had a skit planned where they would give hula hoops to a bunch of older folks to try to do on stage. Well, Sara was called up to "show them how its done" after they struggled hysterically! Sara is excellent at hooping. We did a video and will put it on youtube tonight. (rvtravelwithkids).

Last week's winner: MoxieCat!

How fun! I'm going to guess you're home schooling, too?

We live in the small town of Jonesboro, IN in Grant County. It's a tiny town of about 2000 residents, hiding between one with 10,000 (Gas City) and one with 30,000 (Marion). Just south of us is also Fairmount, similar in size to us, and hometown of James Dean and also Jim Davis, creator of Garfield. There are lots of great seasonal festivals in the area, but one of the best ways to see Grant County, that takes you through all of the towns I mentioned and also a few more is the Garfield Trail. Themed Garfield statues (like the ones of Punxatawny Phil in PA) are spread throughout the county, and you can take the tour guided by your cell phone. It takes several hours, and you get to see a lot of the splendor of Indiana corn fields along the way, with quaint small towns scattered between. Also, Marion features the Christmas Walkway of Lights from Thanksgiving through New Years. It's got the best darn life sized nativity I have ever personally seen. (I tell everyone that i let them borrow it from me.) ;)

By the way, I knew Ostriches had feathers, but I never knew they had shells, too! Live and learn! :)

Oh I love statue hunts! We've found buffalo, swans, and horses before, but never an icon like Garfield! Sounds like a blast! And yes, we homeschool. Have homeschooled almost exclusively since they were born.

Franklin NC is a wonderful place for kids and adults. The Cowee Valley is considered the gem capital. Natural gem mines. ruby ,sapphire and garnet. We frequent one that they bring the dirt out of the mine & you fill your own buckets. My son found a 20 karat black sapphire his first trip. I have bags of raw gemstones that one day I hope to have cut. It is a great learning experience, really beautiful in the fall when the leaves change. A mother Earth Paradise!!!
