The listing, Huge Lot Plastic, Acrylic Beads: Christmas Fun! has ended.
Like all beaders I guess, I have a huge number of beads I hang onto but don't love. Nothing wrong with 'em; in fact, my family is somewhat aghast at my choices. But even beads need love, right? I decided to take Listia's destash challenge and see if I can trade these in for beads that will make my eyes sparkle as well as my jewelry.
This is the Christmas lot with SO many beads I can't tell if it's 100s or 1000s. The green and red beads have a wonderful sparkle and there are white snowflake-shaped beads and a few other colors mixed in with the other white crystal-shaped beads. If you have young kids, this lot is perfect for Christmas crafts. You can pin them into styrofoam balls, make garlands, even make some easy Christmas jewelry to give as gifts. Just make sure not to let them near the grabby mouths of the really little ones, says the mother of five. We have a custom here where everyone gets a string for every good deed during the Christmas season: on the day before Christmas, we weave them into a rug for the baby to be wrapped in. I think with this many beads, you could do something similar with beads - string them together on Christmas Eve: shiny reminders of the reason for the season, etc.
Good luck with your bids and make sure to check out the four other de-stash listings this week!
A little unusual request here: some of these credits will go toward finding the perfect beads for a rosary for my friend {Michelle}: please join me in praying for her. If you need religious jewelry and can't afford it, let me know.
