The listing, 1976 AUTHENTICATED BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED EISENHOWER DOLLAR!! WOW! has ended.

hi. welcome to the free listing for this outstanding collectable coin. i have a uncirculated 1976 authenticated brilliant uncirculated eisenhower dollar. it is sealed into it case and i have never taken it out. i just bought this from bradford echange just so i could list them here for free for all the wonderful listians out here. this coin is 40 percent silver content if you look it up. it cost me over 50 dollars todays price. i have many other great ones coming sometime in the near future as they send them to me. suppose to be 20 coins from the century. this is number one coin. but theres even nicer ones coming soon.. just keep an eye out for them in the near future in my listings. but i took the best pics i could. please look closely at the pics its the exact item you will be getting. have a great day. this ships to usa free. no international shipping sorry. good luck hope to speak to the winner very soon :-) oh the picture example that shows the 2 coins together. there are 2 types of these coins. type 1 and type 2. the difference is the lettering on them, one looks thick one looks thin. this coin is type 1. i took photos that show this exactly on the coin you will get. that picture is for reference and example only and you do not get those listed in that picture just the coin in the case to be clear. again just for reference for you to see. thanks again... :-)

Looks a bit like a type 2 to me, with the serifs. But, I could be wrong.

hi, great comment. i am no expert on it for sure just to be clear. i got that photo online and i said type 1 just because the writing appears thicker than the type 2. the letter A on type 1 is a thicker typed writing and the type 2 is a thinner type writing. i said type 1 because it appears thicker to me but i could be wrong for sure. whats the serifs you speak of? any extra info you can give would greatly help me and everyone else here. thanks for that info though. its a great question on it and i am not positive about it. i didnt even know about the 2 types till i looked it up before i listed it so. let me know and thanks again. :-)

We're all in this together, so thanks for your comments. The Type 1s are strictly block letters, no curves (serifs) on any of the ends of the letters. Type 1 letters are also slightly thicker. I had both types laid out on the dining room table before writing my original comment. Looking at your photos, I think I see little embellishments on the Es, Ts, Ns, etc. Still a very nice coin and a great auction.

hello i was misinformed. i looked it up at online and this is what it says:
"The Eisenhower Dollar"
Between 1971 and 1978, the United States Mint released a $1 coin with President Dwight D. Eisenhower on the obverse. Commonly called "Ike Dollars", these coins did not see much popularity. Because of their bulky size, Americans tended to associate them with 90% Silver Dollars, such as the Morgan or Peace Dollar. After 1964 the Federal Government stopped minting silver coinage, save for an attempt at continuation within the 40% Silver Kennedy Half-Dollar until 1970. The circulation edition of the Eisenhower Dollar was copper-nickel clad.
"Tricky Ikes"
While circulation Ike Dollars were made of copper and nickel, coin collectors were able to purchase a special product from the US Mint: 40% Silver Eisenhower Dollars. So, while there were a select few Silver Ikes, the real confusion came from Americans associating "Big Dollars" with Silver. There were two types of Silver Ikes released: Blue and Brown. All Silver Ikes were minted at the San Francisco Mint, and have an "S" mintmark on the obverse.
This is what i just read, and this coin is indeed a D mint mark i looked under a magnifying glass just to see it clearly. i really thought it was silver. so folks it is not silver i am sorry for any confusion. thanks for the info, again i did not know and looked it up and you are correct, thank you so much for the great info, i didnt know that. thank you.

hello all you wonderful listians!! i listed this as type 1. i think it is but i am not 100 percent sure. another listian mentioned some other interesting things about this coin in the comments section here. i really did think it is a type 1 just because of the thicker writing on it. the A in type 2 is really thin where in type 1 its a thicker typed writing on it. if someone knows more about this coin exactly i would appreciate any conversations on it. maybe we can all figure it out together?? so if you know of these coins and can tell types for sure, please chime in. we want to hear from you. and thanks user name chribernik for the great comment, i learn something everyday i live :-) any questions folks just ask i will do my best to answer them all to the best of my ability. have a nice day and good luck winning the listing :-)
