are these a mixture of purple and blue or is it just the light of the picture?

It's hard to say because I do have blue ones and purple ones and the bees do the pollinating so it's anyone's guess what the seeds produce, but they will most likely me a deep purple.

ok thanks. I know about them bees. They can do a lot. At my one house I had transplanted purple irises from my dads and every year had beautiful purple irises. Well we had a ditch that ran in back of our property and I found a wild iris back there blooming. It was a dark purple mostly with light spots kindof and an orange throat. I moved it up into one of my mounds. The following year we had lots of really unusual irises from rust to yellow, almost silver and gold ones aand lots more. I had clumps along the front of my property as well and each clump was a different color. I had people stop because they were so unusual. One guy stopped and wanted to trade plants so that he could have the unusual colors. I told him they were purple irises and about the wild one. He still wanted to trade. The following year we moved and I dug up my mound where the wild one was planted and moved them all to the new house. The irises at both my new house and the old one were back to being all purple lol. What can ya say.
