Page turner and great plot. However, if it full of cliches: handsome men, slender women, money, status symbols such as fancy cars, and yes, some erotic descriptions. I regard it as a "female novel" LOL...Well written and certainly with a twist. If you are looking for Mr. Perfect, this dark novel is for you! Some humor, lots of drama and much intrigue! Softcover.

Linda Howard's new chilling and darkly sensual new novel; What would make your perfect man? That's the delicious topic heating up the proceedings at a certain table of professional women at their favourite restaurant. As the conversation picks up momentum, so do the quartet's requirements for Mr Perfect. And they write down a tongue-in-cheek list that's both funny and racy. The next thing Jaine Bright and her three girlfriends know the List becomes an overnight sensation, grabbing the interest of local newspapers and television coverage. No one expected this avalanche of attention for something that began as a joke among friends. But the joke turns deadly serious when one of the four is murdered...The prime suspect in the case is the victim's boyfriend, one of a number of men who found the List sexist and offensive. But an impenetrable alibi gets him off the hook. Now, with the help of Jaine's neighbour, an unpredictable police detective, the puzzle must be solved - and time is running out as a deadly stalker targets the three remaining friends, and the dream of Mr Perfect becomes a chilling nightmare.

Yes, it is...
In general, I am fond of real crime and also fiction about psychopaths and sociopaths, but I prefer intricate plots and usually obsessive possessive men. I happens rarely that I come across a book that truly interests me...so when I do, I read it :) Good luck to you :)

Oh! You might like one a friend of mine wrote, "The Monster of Florence" I think is the name. Doug Preston is the author. I haven't read it but I heard it was good!

I know quite a bit about Il Monstro di Firenze...
As was alluded to in Harris's Hannibal novel...
Did you know Thomas Harris was attending the whole trial???
The monster disliked loving couples because he was so lonely...
Indeed, in Italy (well I have only been to Rome) people tend to be very, expressive, if you will, with their affections to one another...
Thanks for the recommendation-will surely look it up!

No! Good heavens! I did not know that! Yes, Doug gave me a synopsis of the book! He was forced out of Italy by the Italian Govt. just around when it first came out. And the Co- author an Italian man was arrested , I believe then released. Doug spoke during Amanda Knox's trial on one of the big 3 networks, I forget which one, But I did watch it. Yes! I think you will find it most interesting! He does book tours, and signings, you can check to see if he'll be anywhere in your area (he and fellow writer Lincoln Childs sometimes write together also. .) He's really a great guy to talk to, very funny guy!

Thanks for sharing! Yes, I've been following Fozxy Knoxy trails...and errors...I need to look your writer-friend up! I have so many books that patiently await my reading, and then a good suspense thriller comes along and pushes itself up the list! As to Italy, I must admit, I would take France any day over it. Italy is infamous for its pickpockets and can be rather dirty with rude people...Hmm...

Yes, I've fallen behind on the Knox story, And I'm afraid both France and Italy have their share of pickpockets (and Rudies!) , my friend got pickpocketed in front of the Louvre!(watch out for those guys with newspapers over their arms! They work in pairs o distract! Luckily the guys we were with caught the guy "red handed" literally with his hand inside her pocketbook! A little "arm twisting" Lol! and he let go! Haha!!

My goodness!!! Better to not have a wallet in a pocket in those countries...Money/passport belt would do the trick...I prefer Germany and Scandinavia (never been) where there seems to be more order...Which is also true of Japan and Singapore (never been either!).
The only reason I love France so much is the Phantom of the Opera!
