The listing, GOLD RING SETTING (NO STONES) has ended.

This is a size 5 gold ring setting. the stones were removed but the prongs are still intact. it can fit a 1mm stone in the middle and 2 oval 5x4mm stones on either side. i did the chemical test to see if it's real gold and it is possibly 10kt gold on the setting part (the part that holds the stone) but only gold-plated on the band. the band has a slight discoloration so i know it's not real gold.

are there any markings or stamped marks anywhere on this item?

It says. B and korea on the inside. I tested it with 10kt and 14kt solution and there was no reaction to the 10k but it fizzed with the 14k solution. The band has a discoloration but the setting doesn't.

I have been looking for ring settings like this and hope to find some more. Do you have any more? I have lots of gemstones just waiting for a home. That's too bad that only part of it is gold. And very strange that it is set that way. I fanned you and will be bidding. Thank you for listing this.

I have a lot of gemstones too that I have been waiting to set but can't find the right settings. This is the only one I came across but non of my stones will fit in it. Jtv.com has some nice inexpensive jewelry settings.

In photo number 2 of 4 I can see a crack on the prong. I save the photo and opened on my PC then I enlarged it so that I could see it better. The prong is cracked and kinda bent. Nothing a jeweler cant repair though. Never the less I love this I have so many loose gem stones that would work great in this band. TY for listing this ring. Watching N fanned.
