Would this work to keep a back up of what is on my hardrive(I have something like16000 photos)does it give any specs on the #of pics it will hold? I also have movies, no music though/

First of all you need to know how many megapixels it is. Second refer to this site http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/69/~/number-of-pictures-that-can-be-stored-on-a-memory-device.
This site will let you know how much will fit on what gb hard drive. My guess is you'd want the 32gb I've listed. Good luck

Listerna, If your hard drive is more than 16 gigabytes, which I am sure it is, this drive will not hold the backup. If you have windows 7 or better, the hard drive will back up itself, if you have the app. turned on, you can set the back-up any time.
