Works great! I use this at work due to its condition with teeth by policy it's not allowed. All I can say watch how much u brush the dog. If too much in one spot and has to be an inch or so thicker of hair won't work for any shorter it would actually cut dog.

Long haired? Like very long haired it would. Not for any dog that's short. The furminator is for long hair plus with a few teeth in that shape for dogs that have short will cut. Furminator are dangerous if used wrong no matter what. That's what I was told in my salon.

They make short haired ones just for labs. Beagles etc
