No markings. There are 2 little leaves that don't show up very well. One is gold and one is rose gold.
As far as signs that it is gold, I don't see any, but when I bought it, the box said genuine black hills gold.
It may be that only the tiny leaves are gold. I'm not that familiar with black hills gold.
