I hate it. I refuse to do it to you.

thanks yes i know need a camera battery next month will get one. here is my profile from Etsy I have been asked a lot about the gems origins etc.
Dec 1999 car accident and a TBI left me with the skills from the 1970's college. Fine Arts (sculpture) & Archaeology (Palentology)so in 2001 still seeing double I picked up pencils and drew and sculpted in miniature in cameos. In 2005 after taking silversmithing classes I started making Celtic Jewelry and named the business Cornelius's Pick. Was looking for an Irish celtic name so it is named after my favorite Yukon Cornelius. I lost my workshop in 2010 and am working toward moving to a place that has a home area for a safe work space. I will be doing some small findings and ring blanks as soon as i can buy a micro torch.

My gem supplier:
I met him by accident at a gem show right after I started going out again after my brain injury. I could not walk without assistance. I was marveling at the beautiful gems and I watched as 20 people stood with brass calipers and scales and methodically picked up stones measured and put them on scales then either put into a buyers basket or tossed it off. One such stone was a watermelon tourmaline. It was absolutely breathtaking over 14 carats and only 39 dollars! I said why did you discard this?

The women replied it is useless to me I am a jeweler I need it to fit in my settings. I replied...but if you are a jeweler why cannot you make a setting to fit it? They all stopped and looked at me. the tables were hushed and then I heard a giggle laugh and an Indian man came over to me. He said no worries and waved his hand and they all started their search again. He said my name is Mr. Balu I will explain. 99 pct of all jewelry stores and jewelers set stones into pre-fabricated settings. It is a rarity to find someone to hand set things in an old fashioned way. I said but all of these beautiful stones are worth the effort. He laighed and said you like to see the stones I said yes it makes me smile. He said can you give them up? I said yes oh yes I just like seeing them but I do not have to own them all. He said then you will be fine. He took me under his wing and to this day sends me extra stones to test me and make me identify them. Turns out his family owns the mines in India and he sends me gems at a fraction of value much to his sons dismay.lol I in turn will share them with you when I can. so yes they are real yes they are what I say and yes you will be happy or be refunded every penny.
