ready to plant avocado seed. my plant is 6 mos. old and here is the pic.i sent one to my ma in tn.we used reg. planting soil from lowes.water it once a week,in a window or light spot but not direct sun.winner will get 1 for 1 tree.

Have you had any long term success in actually growing avocados in this area? How large does the tree get?

this is my 1st tree,so its doing good ,i am learning as i go.not sure how long it will take to grow fruit,or how big,but as you can see in the pic,now its about 2 ft,but dont like direct sun,i started it in a pot,transplanted it to the garden,then put it in the greenhouse,now its in the house.
