These are a unique and understated artistic interpretation of a the cluster earrings that became popular in the 40s and 50s. They appear to have been designed to mimic a broken bead necklace. Very neat. They are marked JAPAN on theback. Japanese artisans f that era designed lots of wonderful pieces for US soldiers wanting to send their sweethearts a gift back home. A beautiful and interesting estate find.
