The listing, Conair Supreme 1 in. Satin Touch Flat Iron has ended.

* I in. thick plate get close to the root
* Satin Touch plate means no pulling and less damage
*Quick heat-up
*High heat setting for all hair types

Model: cs97bc
120-240v ac
50/60 Hz 55w

One of my great bidders prompted me to get scientific in my flat iron game, so this is what I learned. These ones get very hot! I know hot!!!

So learn to measure the right amount of hair to put in the iron to get a nice steady straightening. It's an art; a science. Too much hair=it won't straighten right. Too little hair=burnt hair.

So think of me while you're straightening, and my voice will be there to get make all those curls get as straight as can be!

Set?are their more than one??

Also, can you tell me the temperature this goes to? Does it reach a high of 250° , 350°, or 400° or 450°?

Set means it has two sides that fold together to flatten your hair. I don't know how hot it gets, Conair is the top brand so I suppose it reaches the optimum heat to flatten hair without damaging it

Oh. I have never heard of one flat iron being called a "set" as it is just one. I'm not sure any flat iron only comes with one plate, pretty sure they all have two sides, that's how it straightens. You should probably update or change that, so that you don't end up with a angry winner. Lol, it really sounds like there are more than one, "great set of flat irons".

And, some flat irons are for thin, easy to manage hair and are like 300-350 degrees and others are for hard to straighten or coarse hair and can go up to 450 degrees, all companies -conair, revlon, etc, make different models- each with a different heat setting max. If you have the model number or the name of the flat iron, I may be able to find out by googling.
I have hard to straighten hair, and so does my daughter. So i have to use the ones that get up to 450 or more. I have a bunch of straighteners that don't work on out hair, bc it only heats to 300 or 350. It's such a pain! My friend, her hair straightens with just the smallest amount of heat, lol. Me- it takes 2 hours to do my hair if it's not hot enough. Lol

Lol, well I'm still sorry. I didn't mean to come off sassy, lol sometimes when you type something it's hard to express the tone in your voice /thought.
I just have thick, long, coarse hair. And straighteners were like a Godsend when they first came out with them! Ha! However because of my thick hair, I have to use one that gets at least 430°-450° other wide I'll have straighter hair, but it will be frizzy. That's why I asked, my beloved flat iron broke recently - she just stopped working one day. And I've been trying for months to replace her with something equally as hott, or at least close to. Lol. No luck yet. :(
