Let me re-clarify, if I put my iPad in the case, could I use the camera on the iPad to take photos without removing it from the case. Sorry for the confusion.

That's ok, it only confused me for a second! Haha I'm not really sure and i don't have an iPad shop i can't even check that out for you. I'm assuming since the case was made just for the mini itself that all that would have been taken into consideration, but i can't promise it. I'm sorry that i can't be of more help on the matter. : (
