The listing, Beautiful 7 Stone 7 Different Bezel Shaped Ring Stamped has ended.

I have never seen a ring like this before! I believe it's from another country, but cannot verify it. It has a stamp that I or any other jeweler hasn't seen before. It's something like a 9 or 6, then has a mark like a diamond shape with a line extended from the middle of the diamond shape to the outside. One jeweler told me the stones were possibly real, the other said no, so this will be bidden on as is. It has weight to it. I believe it's a size 9. May be gold plated, but I don't believe it's pure gold. The large stone in the middle is a violet? stone. It also has a green stone, amber stone, a greyish/blue stone, a light blue stone, a pink/rose colored stone, and a smoke colored stone. I'm sorry, but it's the best description I can give. Each bezel for each stone has a different shape (very unique)! Triangle, oval, diamond, square, teardrop designs. I'm doing the best I can to describe it, but hopefully you can make things out by the pictures. The stone in the middle has a "rope" design around it, and the ring at the sides has the same design then goes into a plain back. The stones have a closed back. This is one ring that is extremely unique, and you probably could never find another one like it! Shipping will be $4.00. Thanks for looking!

WOW it is different! Possibly Mexican/ Brazillian / Spain! I've seen the mark before. I believe it's Gold Electroplated w/ 6 mills of gold over a base metal if my memory serves me correctly! Very unique indeed! I wlil be watching..Some of the stones don't appear to be real to my naked eye but might be wrong hard to tell from the pics. It is DEFINATELY from the art deco era though about the 1950's-60's maybe as early as the 40's for all of you art deco people! I for sure will be watching this auction! The 3rd and 4th pic are definately CZ's not diamonds though! ;-)

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I know it doesn't have diamonds. :( I did take it to two jewelers though, and they both looked at the stones through one of those small magnifying devices (jewelers eye piece?) and one said it looked like real stones, but it was still hard for him to tell, the other said no. So...if they don't know, I certainly don't know. It doesn't look or feel cheap though, whatever it is. If it is just costume jewelry, it's a quality piece of costume jewelry. It was SO HARD to get a decent picture of this ring for some reason! Sorry!!!

Question for you.. you said the back of the stones are closed?????? Is that correct???????? even as early as the 1700's real stones had the backs open to let them breathe. So if the backs are closed chances are that the stones are synthetic. Still a pretty ring!

Yes, the backs are closed. You would've thought the one jeweler would've said something! Anyway, I just stated the facts. Like I said before, if it is a costume ring, it's a nice one because it does have weight. You would think it'd be lighter if the stones weren't real, but, I have no idea! Honestly!
