i LOVE THIS RING. I only wish it was my size. The sapphires are created sapphires and are the most beautiful dark blue. It has the large stone in the middle and there are a total of six others, 3 on each side, surrounded by 20 topaz (ten on each side). The ring has a 14K stamped inside, but I think it is filled and not solid. But I can say this is a really beautiful ring and looks like you paid a lot for it. Can you believe you can get this ring absolutely free, right here on Listia? And believe me, if my finger wasn't a 5 1/2 and the ring an 8, it would not be on here now....that's just how much I like it. I think I could have taken lousy pictures and you could still see the beauty in front of you. This would make the most fabulous Christmas present, or birithday present, or even an "I Love You" present. Or, ladies, this could be an "I Am Special and I Deserve This Ring" present to yourself. I have run out of well deserved adjectives and am just going to say, this is one classy ring with sophistication written all over it. There, I've finished. Except to say I know you will be sorry if you let this one slip by you! And the price is right!

Now why didn't I think of that? LOL I remember when we "went steady" with a guy and had his ring we used to either use yarn wound around the bottom of the ring or wear it on a chain around the neck. Why do you think it's not solid gold? If it's stamped only 14k I would assume that it is indeed solid :)

That is a fair question and the only thing I can say is that I had another ring stamped 14 KT and I auctioned it as 14 k gold and it was filled and not solid. So unless I know for an absolute certainty I will not say it is solid. If it is, that is good for the winner. If it is not, I don't want to say it is something I am not sure about. After the first and last time that happened, I purchased a gold testing kit so I could test it and say for sure that I was 100% sure it was solid gold. But the first time I went to use it and I read all the warnings and I opened the first bottle and it started smoking, I put the lid back on the bottle, backed out of the room and didn't go back in that room for three days. So, I would rather understate than overstate. :)

I understand (re shipping to Canada). The cost to ship to Canada is 3-4$ USPS First Class, or up to $12 if you want delivery confirmation. Most Cdn buyers are willing to pay shipping or the difference in the cost of shipping (I know I am!). The process is simple - just wrap as usual, go to the post office and fill out a very small form (asking the value, the item "ring", and how much was paid for it by the buyer - in listia's case they qualify as gifts) - very brief process. Anyway, thought I'd let you know in case you consider it for the future :) :)
