The listing, Antique Elgin Pocket Watch has ended.
The watch was given to a family member in the envelope that has a brief history of the watch and owner. The last person to own it (not my relative) was employed by the railroad – a railroad man working the trains, I think conductor. His initials are engraved on the back, photo 2. At least 75 – 80 years old, it does not work, maybe retired when it's owner did! This watch also had a back that opened, usually containing a photo. The back does not open, appears to be stuck. Who knows what could be in there? I sure don't. Scratching the case (as someone has already done) was my concern. So, here it is with all it's problems, possibly a gift for someone who works on watches.
