When you say shipped flat; you mean flat rate, right?

No, flat rate is actually much more expensive. The wire is a half hard craft wire that is partially flexible (like stated). I make the ring in the right size and then bend it flat to ship. It's really easy to reshape by just wrapping it back around a circular object like a thick pen of a nail polish bottle. I've found it minimizes damage exponentially and was a more economic way to ship
