Can you please tell us for sure if it is wireless. I have a ps3 and want to be absolutely sure if I am to bid. You can't play a ps2 drum set on a ps3 I don't think.

this drum set will work with rock band 1, rock band 2, all of the track pack disks, and rock band 3, but it will not work with rock band 3's "pro mode" because you can't add cymbals to this set.

the photos you added show the wired rock band 1 drumset. it is not wireless, it does not need a dongle, and the bass drum pedal is not metal-reinforced. you described the rock band 2 wireless drumset but it is not what you actually have.

*you can play all PlayStation rock band instruments on both ps2 and ps3... the Xbox and wii versions won't work on either ps2 or ps3... i think that would be obvious, but some people aren't very tech savvy.

you can play all Rock Band instruments on both PS2 & PS3. both the wired and wireless instruments use USB plugs. however, you have to use the wireless dongles (the boxy thing you plug into the system) with the correct instrument. the ps2 instruments use a red light and the ps3 instruments use a blue light. hope this has been helpful.
