I'm not home right now to give accurate measurements, but it is approximately 8 inches across and 12 inches deep, and yes I'm almost positive there is a zipper on top. hope this helps ;)

the label says it is 100% patch leather and the lining is 100% polyester, and no I can't see any visible defects. this purse was only used a couple of times
