The listing, Thunderbird pendant has ended.

The Thunderbird is a widespread figure in Native American mythology. It is described as an enormous bird large enough to carry a killer whale in its talons as an eagle carries a fish.

Some tribes consider Thunderbird's to be extremely sacred forces of nature, being responsible for the sound of thunder (and in some cases lightning as well.) while in others, they are treated like powerful but otherwise ordinary members of the animal kingdom.

The Thunderbird symbol is often used as a totem pole crest.

1" x 1 3/4" x 1/16"

Not sure of the material this is made from. Doesn't stick to a magnet weighing 7.61 g.

thanks for the inquiry. I have no information about the maker or age and there are no markings. I think it came from New Mexico and is from Indian origin
