This Sterling Silver charm is a 3d smokey the bear design. It's approx. 19mm (3/4") high without bail and 14mm (9/16") wide. Approx weight in grams is 2.0. This item is stamped "925". Sterling Silver is a metal alloy that contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals to increase its strength.
These trace metals help cause the sterling silver to tarnish due to various chemicals in the air.

Some Sterling Silver jewelry is intentionally blackened to bring out details or to give an antique look.
