Opalite cancan be mistaken for moonstone or opal. So what is Opalite and how does it differ from Moonstone or Opal?

Opalite is a trade name for synthetic opalised glass. that is available in a wide range of shapes and sizes. The glass appears to be yellowish red when held up to the light and has a blue glow against dark backgrounds. This is a phenomenon known as Opalescence, named after the appearance of Opals.

It has become one of the more popular ways to go since it is not quite as expensive as Opal... Ver beautiful..

I can throw some stones in with it, they are in fact a very expensive stone /crystal called an Aqua Aura Quartz Crystal, I hand polished and tumbled them.....
