This stunning, gorgeous purse is in absolute wonderful condition for its age, and for being an antique!

Although it is Victorian Style, this purse was made in the late 60's to early 70's by a Company called, 'Carpetbags of America!'

I found this treasure, while helping my Grandma clean out her house!

But after the information my Gram gave me, as well as doing some of my own research, this is what I found:

° The purse's outer material is a velvet tapestry brocade, with a floral motif!

° It's framed with a heavy, solid Silver Roman Figural, has a depress closure, and chain handle!

° Although the bag is about 60 yrs old, the original 'Carpetbags of America' Tag is still inside and looks like new!

° Inside of the purse is lined with a Champagne colored Satin, complete with a darling, flower applique! This is the original, signature flower applique, this company used for all of their purses! And it is still in excellent condition also!

° The back of the solid frame is engraved, and reads, "MWG" and again, this can be found on a lot of their purses! But I am not sure what it means?

With Christmas so soon, this will make a great gift for a friend, relative, loved one, or even to treat yourself with something different and beautiful!
