This for the two coins you see in the pics...
~ A 1944-P W.W 2 "Shell Case Penny" with a chip .... This Penny Has a Chip in it that was done when it was been minted and has no word WE that part of the pennie is missing ,,, This is a 1944 W.W 2 Shell case penny...
In the times of W.W 2 they had to use the coinage metals for the war.....
In 1943 they used steel for the pennies,, but the steel cents had to many problems,,, so in 1944 they sent back the used shell cases that was used in the wars front and used them for the 1944-45 pennies .............
And the other one is a Zinc Blank with out the copper coating , today`s pennies are a zinc blank (pic) with copper coating... this one is the zinc with out the copper plating ....... Please check out my other auctions !!!
