Description

The listing, Dwarf Sweet Corn Seeds (Yukon Chief Dwarf) has ended.

Corn you can grow in a pot on your patio! I tried these this year, and they were a lot of fun. My kids really loved watching them grow, and they loved eating them even more.

I got these seeds from a friend of mine, and what you're getting are part of the left overs from this year. I planted 3 seeds in three mixed pots with tomatoes, herbs, and other stuff- and I had a 100% germination rate on the three. This auction is for 5+ seeds.

They get to be about three feet high, and helping them pollinate by either lining them up against prevailing winds or hand pollinating will help fill out the ears. The corn flesh is sweet. 70 days to maturity (good for short northern summers!).

Depends on a lot, but usually two ears. But also, because these are dwarf, the ears are small too. But I think more of the point here is, you are growing corn in a pot that does produce tasty fruit, more than hoping to feed a ton of people. You can always recollect seed off of your ears for more plants the next year.
