And remember to regrow food from scraps, too! Lettuce & carrot can grow seed stalks from scraps (great for saving seed!). Green onions regrow from scraps and regrow and regrow and regrow. You can grow a whole new pineapple plant from just the top! Potato scraps can provide a new batch of taters in just a few months time. There so much more to know and to share!

Be sure to collect seed from your crop and share with neighbors, friends and strangers! Teach others how to grow in their own windowsills. Give living food plants as gifts. Let's do our part to green the planet :)

RECYCLE
I try my best to reuse all my boxes, bags, and fillers. Please try to do the same. Fact: Each ton (2000 lbs) of recycled paper we produce can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy, and 7000 gallons of water. This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution! Industrial hemp fiber is more renewable than tree fiber with a growing season of 6 months compared to 20-50 years. ...something to think about!

Seeds have a reasonable shelf-life, when stored properly. Scientists have recently germinated seeds that were 10,000 years old from extinct plants! Feel free to search it ;)
