Description

The listing, Matryoshka Russian Nesting Dolls of Early American Historical Figures & Presidents has ended.

This is a cool set of 5 Russian Matryoshka Dolls depicting Early US Presidents & Historical Figures. I am not completely sure who 3 of them are! Any guesses from my fellow Listians would help a lot! I know the tallest doll (measuring approx. 5.5" tall) is George Washington, because he is holding an axe & cherry tree branch behind his back. I know that the smallest doll (measuring approx. 1.75" tall) is Abraham Lincoln because he is holding his top hat as well as American & Confederate flags. The identities of the 3 in the middle are up for grabs! Could be Thomas Jefferson? Ben Franklin? Andrew Jackson? John Adams?
No marks on the bottoms at all.

Thank you for bidding & good luck! :)

Thank you!! I did not know that! And I thought he looked like Santa too, especially with his belt & buckle!

Haha yeah it really does look like a Santa belt. I think the other person is Thomas Jefferson because it looks like he is holding the declaration and a quill feather pen.

really neat dolls. f/w/b till the end. theres alot of these types of dolls around. makes them most unique because they are mostly hand painted. seen a few now that are kinda like the eggs at easter where you put a plastic design on them then you shrink them on there. just seen some presidential ones listed elsewhere. they are really neat also. but i think the hand painted ones are the funnest and most collectable. i seen you can order them unpainted as well so a person can put what they want on them. but always fun to see and being able to bid on as well. thanks seller, great job with your listing :-) thank you...
