These seeds are so small you may get well over 100. A magnifying glass helps ! They will be wrapped in white paper and placed in a small plastic craft bag. They are very easy to grow inside and out, so I will try to provide some instructionsn so you can have them inside and out all through the year.
Prepare a garden bed for your mum seeds about two months prior to first frost in the fall or in early spring.Mums are not too picky, though they grow best in soil that drains well, and receives at least six hours of sun per day..
Sow your mum seeds across the surface of the soil. Mum seeds are tiny and just need to be sprinkled across the soil's surface. Water in gently and keep consistently moist. They should germinate in one to three weeks.
Thin new seedlings to about 6 inches apart.. They may be started indoors 6-10 weeks before transfering outside
GROWING FOR INDOORS
You can grow indoor chrysanthemums from seeds or rooted as well as unrooted cuttings Opt for seeds or unrooted cuttings if you are growing your mums.
Fill your pots with soil and plant your mums. Choose soil that is coarse and provides good drainage. If you grow your indoor chrysanthemums from unrooted cuttings, stick them into the well-watered soil to a depth of about 1/2 to 1 inch. Remove the bottom leaves if they touch the soil. Because mums have shallow roots, make sure not to plant the cutting too deep. Place seeds on top of the watered soil and cover them with a thin layer of dirt. Mist the top soil.
Water and fertilize your indoor mums consistently. Do not let the soil dry out completely in between waterings. Saturate the soil but drain the saucer underneath the flowerpot after the water has had a chance to drain. Nourish mums prior to blooming every other week with water-soluble fertilizer.
Chrysanthemums thrive in mild temperatures. Do not let the night temperatures go lower than 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Daytime temperatures around 70 degrees
